Robert M. Cohen is a passionate, creative, earnest and practical mediator. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to rapidly build trust, his settlement rate is superior. Formerly a partner with Cohen Stimpert & Ford, Cohen has handled a wide variety of litigation matters during his 40+ year career including personal injury and elder abuse claims, HOA disputes, leasing and landlord tenant disputes, business and partnership disputes and commercial collection matters. Cohen has tried more than 100 bench, arbitration and jury trials and has been involved in over 1000 disputed matters. Since the 1990’s, he has mediated hundreds of matters and is known for his ability to bring closure to contentious, personality-driven disputes.

Personal Injury Claims: Mr. Cohen has litigated and mediated catastrophic injury claims involving automobiles, bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, trucks, buses, taxis, pedestrians, driving under the influence, wrongful death and UM/UIM claims. He has dealt with claims for elder abuse, slip/trip/falls, public property/sidewalk defects, residential/premises defects, dog bites and dangerous condition claims dealing with elevators, escalators and construction site accidents.Business Disputes: Mr. Cohen has successfully resolved hundreds of commercial leasing and landlord-tenant disputes, HOA claims, commercial evictions, real property, boundary, tree line and easement disputes, trespass/nuisance, mechanics lien/construction, partnership, family corporation, breach of contract and domestic/international commercial collection claims and disputes.
