Judge Gloria White-Brown has been a distinguished and respected figure in the Los Angeles
legal community for over four decades, earning a reputation for her expertise, leadership, and
unwavering commitment to justice. Her legal career began as a law clerk with the Legal Aid
Society, where she focused on family law and civil matters. She then served as an attorney at
Jacoby & Meyers, handling personal injury and real estate disputes, before transitioning to
a Deputy District Attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she
worked for eight years.
Judge White-Brown further expanded her legal experience as an environmental prosecutor
and trial attorney with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), later
serving as Senior Deputy District Counsel for the agency. Over nearly two decades as a litigator,
she gained comprehensive experience across a broad range of legal disciplines.
In 2002, Judge White-Brown was appointed to the Los Angeles County Superior Court, where
she served with distinction for more than 20 years across Family Law, Criminal, and Civil
assignments, including in an Independent Calendar Court. As a trial judge, she presided over
300 jury and court trials, consistently demonstrating a meticulous and balanced approach to
resolving complex legal matters.
